ABOUT US
In this age of increasing automation, programming

is not limited to only computer science and related

fields. Every competent engineer needs to know

how to program.
Club of Programmers (better known as COPS) plays

a crucial part in maintaining the coding culture in

the institute.

OUR BACKGROUND
COPS also has an essential role in the successful

conduction of Technex, the institute’s techno-

management festival. ICM(International Coding Marathon)

event organised by COPS in Technex attracts the

maximum participation in the fest

WHY WEB 3
Unlike the traditional Web, Web3 provides read-write-own facilities wherein users

can own digital assets and entire web platforms and even control their digital

identity without any third-party influence.

Decentralized autonomous organizations let you coordinate decentralized

ownership of a platform using tokens which act as shares in a company and

impose “your” collective rules for its future, this includes censorship resistance and

builds a permissionless environment where no one is excluded.

Web3 is an evolving ecosystem which would take over the future world and make
an infrastructure which is more secure, free and private.

WHAT IS THE WEB3 WEEKEND ?

48 hrs Hackathon based on open innovation with 2 workshops running alongside:
1st one by Devfolio - 1 hr on Ethereum
2nd one by Solana - 6 hrs long workshop on JavaScript, Rust and Solana
Blockchain with the meal during the break provided by Solana

We are looking forward to the participation of ~250 students.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
SUMMER OF BITCOIN 2022
3 students namely Shreyansh Yadav, Ankur Patil
and Prakhar Saxena were selected as mentees
under Summer of Bitcoin

GOOGLE SUMMER OF CODE

24 students from the club got accepted in one of
the most prestigious open-source software
development programs - Google Summer of
Code. 3 students were selected as mentors while
1 student is now an org admin.
23 students from the club got accepted in
GSOC '21. IIT (BHU) is the institute with second
highest GSoC selections in the world in 2021.

LFX MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Two students from the club (Nishant Mittal and

Lali Akhil Raj) got accepted as mentees in LFX

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Sanyu Daver was selected as an Outreachy Fellow for the

summer. Parth Agrawal was selected as mentor in Outreacgy
'22.

2 teams from IIT(BHU) made it to the finals of the Cyber Security

Awareness Week (CSAW).

INTER IIT TECH MEET

2 teams from COPS participated and won silver
medals in their respective events of Mercari Large
Scale System Design Hackathon and Bosch
Model Extraction Attack for Video Classification
against the participating 23 IITs.

Debug-It was a hackathon organised
by COPS as part of COPS WEEK for
the freshers of IIT (BHU)

CSOC
COPS Summer of Code is a six-week

mentorship program for students

interested in software development. More

than 1.1k students from different colleges

of India took part in this event last year.

MULTIVERSE OF LANGUAGES
Multiverse Of Languages is a workshop
series with six session aimed to introduce
the student population with the wide
variety of programming languages.
