The L-Tron is practically an extremely powerful

LED flashlight which can be used over and over

remote. The light stays lit until it's either turned
off or the batteries die.

M116A1 was originally a practice grenade

stun and diversion grenade by altering the
detonator. Upon explosion some fragments
may occur as the grenade is metal cased.
The detonation creates a very loud sonic and a
bright flash bang which stuns everyone who is
exposed. The stun lasts for 2 Phases, during
which the stunned targets fall to a crouched
stance and are incapacitated.

The M34 is a controversial white phosphorous

grenade. WP inflicts horrifying burn injuries. If
burning white phosphorous gets on skin, it will
not go out but has to be cut or carved out.
The grenade was "intended" as a burning smoke
grenade to create smoke screens, but its
capabilities fit better for clearing bunkers and
trenches.
White phosphorous burns with an intense
temperature of 2800C (5000F) for about 60sec.
It also creates a heavy smoke which evaporates
quickly under open sky due to the high heat.

Tishina means Silence in Russian. The BS-1 is the designation of the weapon system BS-1
including an AKMS assault rifle loaded with 7.62R Subsonic, suppressor and GSN-19 Weapon system
Launcher.

The GSN-19 is one of the most interesting weapons designed for the Soviet special
forces. It uses a special blank 5.45S (Mag 10) or 7.62R (Mag 8)cartridges in a
detachable magazine to operate a piston system within a limited volume breach to fire GSN-19
the grenade. The grenade itself doesn't have a propelant of its own at all. Instead it is Grenade Launcher
rather pushed (by the piston) out of the barrel. The system is completely silent and
muzzle flash free.
After shooting the grenade a few second has to be waited for the pressure to lower
before new shot can be reloaded. The grenade is loaded via the muzzle and the new
cartridge is loaded using bolt-action.

As the US Navy SEALs considered the M79's rate of

Upgraded 2007 variant
fire to be too low, they developed their own pump-
action version of it with a 3 round tubular magazine.
The production numbers however were very low. The
weapon was reintroduced in 2007.
The China Lake is used exclusively by the US Navy
SEALs. The name derives from the Special Projects
Division of the Naval Air Weapons Station which
provides equipment for the Navy SEALs and is located Original from
in China Lake, California. 1968
The 2007 model featured an adjustable M4-style
stock, rails for accessories and 4 round tube magazine.

"MATADOR" is an abbreviation from the words

"Man-portable Anti-Tank, Anti-DOoR". It's
equipped with a dual purpose warhead. The
MATADOR
mode is selected prior to launch by extending a
in HEAT mode
dedicated rod in the nose of the warhead for
HEAT.
The warhead of the RGW90 MP (MP-HESH)variant
recognizes on impact whether the target is "hard"
or "soft. For hard targets the warhead detonates
on impact (as regular HESH) and for soft targets it
detonates after penetrating the target (as a bunker
buster).

The system consists of suitcase launcher, control box
and missile.
The Malyutka-2 features a semi-automatic wire-
guidance system, in which the target has to be kept
inside the targeting reticle of the optical sight until the
missile is hit. It also has improved penetration, range
and missile speed.

Heavy Weapons of the Modern World is part 2 of the 2 part compilation The Weapons of the
Modern World. This is the 2.0 update with 30 new entries which increases the total number of
hardware featured to 122 item. As fully illustraded with manufacturing details and a short back
story you can find such weapons as the legendary Mk2 “Pineapple” grenade, XM25 grenade rifle,
China Lake grenade launcher, BGM-71 TOW-models from A to H and lots of more… Every item is
fully converted to be used in Twilight:2000 2nd Edition RPG.
From a former gamer and gun enthusiast to all other gamers and non-gamers (interested in
the military hardware) out there, I proudly present this work as an equipment guide for
Twilight:2000 and as an information package of heavy weapons of the world. Also remember to
check out the first part of the pair, the Small Arms of the Modern World.
