     Knowledge of Law or Philosophy of Law

     It has long history of evolution which falls back to ancient Greek history.
     Bentham -Father of Jurisprudence.
     Latin word Jurisprudencia. Juris means Laws Prudentia means Knowledge
     Not static in nature changes with the development of society.
     In ancient india this concept of being followed in the name of Dharma
     It aims to welfare of the society especially by regulating the human conduct
     British gradually introduced the well developed system in India.
