Interprofessional Collaboration is a situation in which many people from varied professional

backgrounds work together to achieve a shared objective, notably in healthcare for a variety of
reasons, interprofessional teamwork is necessary. To begin, establishing a collaborative culture
improves patient care and results. Many hospitals now promote cross-functional team, patient-
oriented rounds that constitute the main doctor, attendant nurse, specialty physicians, and
other appropriate team members, in addition to care team meetings (O'Connor, 2019). This
promotes patient-centered treatment as well as interdisciplinary.

Client care planning can be accomplished through referrals, consultation, or interprofessional

collaboration.
