SPIRE LAB, IISc, has taken initiative to create resources for speech technology development such as

automatic speech recognition (ASR). There are job opportunities in this project in the position of

Language Expert.

Language Expert

Languages :
Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Magadhi, Chhattisgarhi, and Maithili

Skills/ requirements
Having a degree in the above mentioned language-related course or program is a plus
Must have their Laptop/Desktop/Smartphone at home.
Must have a headset/earphone to check the audio clarity.
Should have good internet connectivity.
Natives of Bhojpuri/Hindi will get more preference

Job Location
This work can be done from anywhere.

Qualification
Undergraduate, Graduate, Post Graduate can apply.

Basic remuneration
Rs 1/- per one utterance

Job description and responsibility

Some audio-text pairs will be given to you, you have to check the quality of the audio file.
Have to validate 300-400 files per day.
An interested candidate needs to go through a pilot task and will be selected for the job only if

they are found to perform satisfactorily.
