I am thrilled to be applying for a position as a civil engineer intern at your organization. I believe
that my ambition, civil and structural work experience and technical skills can add value to your
projects. I recently graduated with a degree in civil engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University
of Agriculture and Technology. As an undergraduate researcher, I gained experience in
Mechanics of Structural Materials and Systems Engineering for various projects. I want to
continue my career working on projects that directly improve the quality of life for communities

During my third and fourth years of study, I went through internships in structural and road
construction projects. Throughout my internship, I focused on structural design, dynamics and
earthquake engineering, and got recognition for being part of the design team for the proposed
four-storey office block for the Kenya National Highways Authority, Western Region,
Kakamega. I am also proficient in preparing drawings and technical specs using Prokon and
AutoCAD software.
