Classification A. In this classification are the Airbrake Parts products, these are high
turnover orders and should be located in the rack at a short distance from the picking and
loading areas, this is named as zone A (See Figure 9). This classification has a total of 27025
orders with a share of 74% of the total orders and has 17% of the families.
Classification B. In this classification are Axel Part and Body Parts, these products
are medium turnover products and must be located in the rack at a distance from the rack.
The average of the picking and loading areas, this is named as zone B (See Figure 9). Axel Part
and Body Parts have a total number of orders of 5391 and 1667 respectively and have a share
of 19% of the total number of orders. Classification B has a share of 33% of the product
families. For instance, there are two families in this (See Figure 9 and Table 2).
Classification C. In this classification are the paper, Electrical Part and Trailer
Parts products, which have a low order turnover and should be located in the rack at a distance
from the picking and loading areas, this is named as zone C (see figure 9). Lubricant, Electrical
Part and Trailer Parts products have a total number of orders of 1333, 1026 and 126
respectively with a share of 6.80% of the total orders. This classification has a share of 50% of
the families, i.e. it has 3 product families (See Figure 9 and Table 2). According to the ABC
classification, the
Classification A. In this classification, the products are: Air Tank Drains, Air
Compressor and Compressor Governor. The Air Tank Drains, punch and Compressor
Governor have a total of 1358, 4907 and 2101 orders respectively and have a share of 76% of
total Airbrake Parts orders, i.e. these products have a high order turnover in the Airbrake Parts
family (see Figure 10 and Table 3). According to the order totals of these products, they are
assigned to a section of zone A, Air Tank Drains is assigned to section 1, Air Compressor is
assigned to section 2 and Compressor Governor bread is assigned to section 3 (see Figure 10).
Classification B. The products in the classification are: Air Storage Tanks, Alcohol
Evaporator and brake disc. Air Storage Tanks, Alcohol Evaporator and have total orders of
1342, 458 and 160 respectively and have a share of 16% of total Airbrake Parts orders. For
instance, these products are medium order turnover in the Airbrake Parts family (Figure 10
and Table 3). Continuing with the section assignments in zone A, hot Air Storage Tanks is
assigned section 4, followed by Alcohol Evaporator with section 5 and ending with Brake
Classification C. In this classification the products are: Safety Valve, Brake Pedal, and Air
Shaft. Safety Valve Brake Pedal and Air Shaft have a total number of orders of 1629, 1451
and 1370 respectively and have a share of 7% of total Airbrake Parts orders. For instance,
these products have a low turnover of orders in the Airbrake Parts family (Figure 10 and
Table 3). In addition, it has the section assignments of zone A, Safety Valve is assigned
section 7, followed by Brake Pedal and Air Shaft with sections 8 and 9 respectively (See
Figure 10). Each classification has 33% of the total number of products in the Airbrake Parts
Axel Part. The Axel Part family has four products, which are: Axle beam, swivel pin,
track rod and swivel pin. The ABC classification is carried out to arrange the products on the
shelves in zone B of the rack, which is at an average distance from the picking and loading
areas.

assigned section 1 of zone B because it is the product with the highest order turnover in the Axel
Classification B. In this classification are swivel pin with a total orders of 809 and has a
15% share of the total orders of the Axel Part family (See Figure 11 and Table 4). Swivel pin are
assigned to section 2 of zone B because it is the second product with the highest order
Classification C. In this classification are swivel pin with total orders of 268 respectively, and
have a 14% share of the total orders. Total orders in the Axel Part family (See Figure 11 and
Table 4). Continuing with the allocation of sections in zone B, swivel pin have section 3 and
hydrators have section 4 because they are the products with the lowest order turnover in the Axel
Part family (see Figure 11). Classification A and B have a 25% share respectively of the products
in the Axel Part family. For instance, each has 1 product. Also, classification C has a 50% share
Classification A. In this classification is Bearings with a total of 1357 orders and has a share of
81% of the total orders in the Body Parts family (see Figure 12 and Table 5). Bearings is
assigned to section 5 of zone B because it is the product with the highest turnover in the Body
Classification B. Nosecuts is in this classification with a total of 310 orders and has a share of
19% of the total orders in the Body Parts family (see Figure 12 and Table 5). Nosecuts are
assigned to section 6 of zone B because it is the product with the second highest order turnover
in the Body Parts family (see Figure 12). Each classification has 25% of the total number of
products
Classification A. In this classification is Spark Plug with a total orders of 825 and has a
share of 80% of the total orders in the Electrical Part family (See Figure 13 and Table 6).
Spark Plug is assigned to section 3 of zone C because it is the product with the highest turnover
Classification B. Ignition coil is placed in this classification with a total of 201 orders
and has a 20% share of total orders in the Electrical Part family (see Figure 13 and Table 6).
Ignition coil is assigned to section 4 of zone C because it is the second product with the highest
order turnover in the Electrical Part family (See Figure 13). Each classification has 25% of the
total number of products in the Body Parts family, i.e. classification A and B have 1 product
respectively.
