The North American tribe we chose was the Cherokee tribe or also known as Cherokees,
currently inhabiting the states of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South
Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia in the southeastern United States, The Cherokee were
one of the peoples grouped in the Five Civilized Tribes. They have a particular language, an
American language of the Iroquois family, spoken by the Cherokee people, an example of
a word in Cherokee can be (cliff) which in Cherokee would be (ga-lo-na-s-di--ha).
It is characteristic for its lack of the labial stops p and b. however It is written in Latin
alphabet and in Cherokee syllabary.
On the other hand the Cherokee Indians were very religious, leaning their religion towards
totemism; they venerated the Great Spirit, and he was known among the tribe as
Unetlanvhi or Creator; they praised him through songs and dances. The Cherokees are the
most numerous native ethnic group in the United States. This tribe had its own evolution
of thought in such a way that they were able to originate their own weapons and
regiments, besides that they were able to base their economy on intensive agriculture,
using slash and burn cultivation of corn, beans and squash. They hunted deer, bears and
elk and their clothes were made of animal skins, the women made them with needles
made of bone, the men made moccasins.
However, the most remarkable thing related to their technological evolution and thinking,
was the emergence of their regiment of mounted rifles, this was an organization of
Cherokee troops who fought on the Confederate side during the Civil War, an American
Civil War that occurred between 1861 and 1865.
Cherokee boys liked to go hunting and fishing with their fathers. The women taught the
Cherokee girls all the domestic and gardening skills. In the past,although Indian children
had more chores and less time to play. But they had dolls, toys and games to play, such as
a game in which children tried to throw a dart through a moving hoop. Lacrosse was a
popular sport among Cherokee teenagers. In summary they had a lot of art, after the
Neolithic revolution there were better farming techniques. This meant there was less
farming and more time to do different things. Some people began to create art such as
pottery for cooking. The Cherokee are most famous for making jars, flutes, masks and
baskets.
The armaments of these Indians were made of stone, including knives, axes and chisels,
which they used for hunting and fighting. While, for fishing, they used spears and fishing
rods.
Now moving to a general context, the way in which we communicate has evolved over
time so that oral and written language have been strong changes in our society, which
gives way to the variety of diversity which we have in the world at this time.
This gives us to understand all the different forms of communication and different lexicons
that can be seen. In brief, our society has different cultures and different ways of thinking
so we must know how to manage the way we express ourselves because not everyone
shares our same mentality or decisions.
In these different cultures you can see different ideas either in the part of the
environments both in the artistic, for the creation of environments you will need
mathematics and physics 100% because all this has to do with the measures the spaces
and the way of distribution, either when creating a house or building to meet this goal you
have to see the geometry and mathematics today more than anything when
environments can see the buildings which will be apartments or could be places where
work is given to many people. On the other hand in the North American tribes or tribes in
general which is the main theme of the product in the environments is something a little
more different because it would be the huts and other very different places.
However, all this is also centered by a language or accents in different societies, it is more
one of the languages with which people can communicate more this can help us to
communicate.
For example, if we are going to talk to a person of another language, there are many
possibilities that if we do not have knowledge of it, we can communicate in English and
they will understand us. So in summary English has been and will be a language with
which we can communicate when approaching people of other languages.
