ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to make an electric bus and use it in
transport to save fuel and make it friendly to the environment.
This project has been necessitated by increase cases of leakage of
petroleum from the engine which is not predictable and can cause
unexpected accidents.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We highly thank Mr.Muthuku, Principal St.Augustine for providing
materials for our project to be successful.
I also thank Jonathan Muema for assistance in guiding and supervision
of our projects how in assembling the materials towards making the
electronic bus to work.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Background information
An electric car is an automobile that is propelled by electric motors
using energy stored in batteries. Compared to internal combustion
engine[CICE], electric motors are quitter have no exhaust emissions
hence lower emissions.
In United States of America, 2020, the total cost of ownership of recent
electric vehicles is cheaper than ICE cars .Charging an electric bus can
be done by variety of charging station. The electric bus works using
principles of energy transformation hence making power to flow
smoothly.
Statement of the problem
This project has been necessitated due to pollution of environment
due to harmful emissions and to conserve fuel.
Objectives
i.To make an electronic bus .
ii.To reduce emissions in environmental emissions by cars which use
diesel and petrol.
iii.To reduce fuel consumption of vehicles by using alternative methods
iv.To enhance transport by making it cheap and accessible.
Relevance
This project is in line with economic pillar vision 2030 and millennium
goals towards achieving zero free and clean energy and Kenya big four
agenda.
Limitations
This electronic bus is limited to the following;
i.cannot operate in absence of sun since the battery is rechargeable.
ii.it is expensive to acquire the materials hence most are not locally
available.
Assumptions
i.The battery of the bus is rechargeable and not faulty
ii.sun energy is present to undergo the energy completion.
CHAPTER 2:LITERATURE REVIEW
Robert Anderson (1832-1839) is credited with inventing the first
electric car.
In 1880’s Gasteve Trouve (1881) presented an electric car at the
exposition Internationale d’ Electricile de Paris.
In (1884), Ferd Modele T, Thomas Parker build an electric car in
Wolverhampton using his own specially designed high capacity
rechargeable batteries, although the only documentation is a
photoghraph from 1895.
In 1888, the German Andreas Flocken designed the Flocken
Elektrowagen, regarded by some as the first ‘real’ electric car.The
electric cars originally had low power supply with flat torque curve
down to zero speed though they were simple and reliable.
CHAPTER 3: METHODOLOGY
Apparatus used
1 meter snake light (5v only)
2 front lights. (flash lights).
2 back lights (stop lights).
4 Indicator lights (5v only).
A piece of plywood (50cm by 30cm) and (100cm by 100cm)
Soldering gun .
Tutter (2 pieces )
1 bass speaker
Soldering wire
BT motherboard
Glue gun
9v battery (2 pieces)
Side mirrors
Wooden tyres
fBicycle tube
super glue
Car mother board
Glue sticks
Dc motors
Remote control
8 quarter inch self tapping screws
6 pieces of springs
PROCEDURE
i.Pick a piece of ply wood and cut 45cm by 15cm. Take your wooden
tyres and fix them to the plywood together with two DC motors push
your car body and see if it can move freely with ease .
ii. Pick the car mother board and fix it on the front wheels to
enable it tilt from left to right .
iii. Pick your indicator, front lights, backlights and display light then fix
them into the structure of the bus.
iv. Connect the lights and the motors with a source of power then ,
test if it will be okay for all installations fix your body with the structure
of the bus and then activate it.
v. Pick your BT device and connect it to a power source then fix it on
the on the body of the bus.
VII.Pick your glasses and windscreen then stick then on the spaces left
for the screen.
vi. Connect your charging system to the power supply and there your
bus is ready for a road test and other activated devices.
Vii.vary the power supply and note the pitch of sound produced from
the base speaker and tutters.
OBSERVATIONS
After activating the bus the responding of the speakers and tutters
could be heard from inside the bus.The lights could also blink
according to the vibration of the speakers.
Data collected

.
CHAPTER 4;DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERRETATION
Data analysis
AMOUNT OF VOLTAGE INTESITY OF SOUND IN SPEAKERS
9V High and soft
5V Relative high
3V low

Data interpretation
The intensity of the sound heard is determined by the amount of

current used .From Faradays law of electromagnetic induction,

increase in current increases the motion of wooden wheel. The current

induces magnetic fields which makes the wheel to rotate at higher

speed. The rate of relative motion between the conductor and

magnetic field and also the number of core affects the induced

electromotive force. Also from Lenzs law ; the direction of emf is such

that the induced current which causes it flow produces a magnetic

effect that opposes the change produce it.

CHAPTER 5:CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

RECOMMENDATION
We highly recommend to adopt our project as it helps in reducing
environmental emissions conserving environment .It has helps in
efficient transport .
CONCLUSION
If the project is adopted its my expectation it will boost the economy
and also reduce environmental hazards of fuels .
The project aims at saving the cost of fuel by the use of electric cars in
transport which is also very friendly to the environment.
