TM4 has developed

and produced
the electric motors used on the CITROËN
C-Métisse concept car

The C-Métisse features a diesel hybrid drivetrain

that combines a diesel combustion engine in
front coupled with two TM4 direct drive electric
motor-wheels in the rear wheels, each devel-
oping a torque of 300 Nm with an output of
15 kW (20 bhp).

The C-Métisse accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h

in 6.2 seconds thanks to the ICE/wheel motors
combination. TM4 is also the provider of the
power electronics and traction control module for
independent fine control of each electric motor.

With its diesel hybrid technology, the C-Métisse respects

the environment. This is particularly true in the city ZEV
(Zero Emission Vehicle) mode — an “extended”, completely
silent all-electric mode with a range of about 3 km at
30 km/h.
TM4 Drivetrain
System

• Continuous Power: 15 kW

• Maximum Torque: 300 Nm

• Maximum Speed: 1900 rpm

• Independent fine control of each

electric motor

• Regenerative braking

• Liquid cooling

• High energy efficiency

• Independent control of the rear

TM4 motors utilize permanent magnet technology, which wheels eliminating the need for
helps reduce energy consumption as well as the size and a mechanical differential
weight of the motors. TM4’s electronic control module
is capable of handling and converting the electrical current
between the battery and the direct-drive motors.

Furthermore, the vehicle remains in 4-wheel drive mode

while the boost function is active, since the electric motors
drive the rear wheels while the combustion engine drives
the front wheels during the acceleration.

Very few companies can claim to have 20 years of

experience in the motor wheel field. You can trust TM4
to meet your objectives quickly and efficiently.
