Introduction - Basic overview of guide and some commonly asked
questions by people interested in Hades
Common Setups - Goes over setups that you would look into
when building Hades along with example grids
Intro
This guide will go over some of the options players that are interested
in going Hades can consider before investing Damascus/Gold Bricks
into it.
*Disclaimer*: A good portion of this guide consists of opinions and suggestions based
on the experiences of various primal players in this element. Although this guide hopes
to be as comprehensive and helpful as possible, at the end of the day different players
may find this game more enjoyable in different ways, or find other resources more
helpful.
Misc. Updates
Switch to Runeslayer being the main burst setup over Luchador
Ippatsu does not add much
Manamel can compete with the top characters, but lack utility and needs near perfect
conditions to maximize her performance (i hate it when my gf falls into a coma halfway
through the raid)
Lower priority on Masala/Curry in favor of Fallen Sword
● Q: I thought that Masala was preferred over Fallen Sword because you take
damage over the fight?
● A: This is true, but you’re generally very safe while pressing defensive skills from
Lich/Fediel (and possibly healing from them), so you actually end up losing
damage. There aren’t many situations where you can afford to skip the defensive
skills and still survive with the 40% HP cut. In situations such as Guild War
NM150/200, it’s also easier to maintain health/stamina damage with Blue
Potions.
● Q: What about Masala enabling Kolulu mashing setups with Plain Key?
● A: Masala still has the unique niche of enabling this, but the only raid this is
applicable for is Proto Bahamut HL, and it is extremely expensive/slow compared
to setups that exist in other elements. I would not recommend playing Dark to
farm Proto Bahamut HL in its current state.

Typically it isn’t recommended that you make the switch to primal before
having access to a ULB Dark Opus weapon. Because of how strong Magna Dark
is, Hades relies heavily on having weapon flexibility which is usually supported by
a ULB Dark Opus. It is possible to build Hades before this, but you may not get
the results you were looking for.
The current dark meta revolves around the ability to freely switch between
different support summons for their turn 1 calls and/or unique auras. Being forced
to pick Hades as your support summon will take away that flexibility so it is
generally not recommended to go Hades without your own Hades summon.
A large majority of F2P weapons are also widely used in end game Hades.
If you are trying to go into Hades with the intention of skipping certain grinds then
you may find yourself losing out on a lot of potential flexibility and power.

“High investment for high character and setup versatility”
Burst setups are very important in the current meta and are the
most common setups you’ll be running when farming manually.
The most popular burst setup in Hades, and perhaps in the
entire game is Highlander Enmity Luchador, a low-investment
setup that takes advantage of Dark’s incredible attackers,
Summer Zooey’s Conjunction, Nier, and Death summon to gain
honors very quickly at the start of the raid. This setup can be
used to farm about every light and null raid in the game,
including Akasha and Grand Order HL for Gold Bricks, and
even bursting down Dark Rapture Hard with a coordinated
group.
Outside of Luchador, Dark also has very strong stamina ougi-centric setups
with the addition of Fediel Spine. These can be used to OTK EX+ raids for
Dark favored Guild War, or to burst short raids such as 30 man Ultimate
Bahamut Normal trains. Many players who have invested in Hades still use
Celeste for these types of setups due to the effectiveness and accessibility
of Abyss Spines.
Hard Content
These types of raids often come with higher inherent defense values
making it more difficult to reliably reach the damage cap without strong in-
grid weapons. Because of this reason, Highlander setups will often
underperform compared to grids that opt to run multiple Gislas or Fallen
Swords. In the case of enmity, Sunya becomes a very nice consideration
as the addition of a progressing elemental mod will boost grid damage
across the board as the raid progresses.
Crit setups that incorporate Bab-el-Mandeb are also very useful provided
you are able to land crits on the enemy. For crit setups in particular it is
recommended to maintain a high crit percentage for consistent damage.
Therefore when running crit, generally you are looking at running multiple
crit weapons to reach 90-100% crit rate.
For these types of fights, Hades x Hades is generally run to take advantage
of stats such as health, progression, and garrison. Hades x Belial is
another option versus raids with extremely hard hitting triggers, and may
provide even more survivability despite being capped at 20k health.

Bahamut Spear in AX Slot
Nighthound/Lich/Eustace/Fediel/Rei/Kolulu
Nightound Swap/Rei 2 to cycle between the two to keep access to summon calls
Nighthound S1 with Maverick allows you take a free turn before 50%
Tactical Relocate to sub in Kolulu to eat Daedelus Drive at 75%
Skeletal Eclipse and Bigeh and Edfu still being tested, other considerations are
another copy of either or Sunya.
If you have success or improvements please let me know!
Can be put into the setup depending on the situation, but Cuyi
doesn’t think it’s wise to invest bars into this weapon for this particular
setup.
If you need to fill in grid slots. Cuyi is disappointed that you have
nothing better.
