A. Description

Basic Translation is course provides the students with knowledge and skills of the important things
of language function, translation function, translation process, translation method, translation unit.

B. Aim

Competence Standard: The students are able to understand the basic concept of translation and
be able to translate texts from source language (English) to target language (Bahasa).

F. Rules and Regulations


1. Our time is so brief; yet, much course materials should be covered. So, your regular
attendance is mandatory
2. It is crucial that you come to class ON TIME. If you have dire emergency and must miss any
class or part of the class, please text or mail me.
3. No Mobile Phone Turn On while Class activities.

G. Professional Deeds
1. Laptop computer use is not permitted during class. Cell-phones are to be shut off or silent
during class progress. Receiving or making calls and text massaging are prohibited.
2. Participants who persist in using computers or phones during the class, will be asked to leave
the classroom and will have points reduced for class attendances.

H. Journal Writing and Other Assignments


1. Journal Writing
- Journal writing is a written record of your own experience in which you write about what
happens every day. In this course, you write what you perceive (i.e. understand and think
about) the assignment readings.
- You should write one page journal entries, staples your entries on the up left corner
- Type your name, your class code, and numbers of your entries on the right corner

2. Group Presentation
- Prepare what you have to present, the topic of your presentation should be related to the task
given
- What you show on the screen is only the points, and remembers DO NOT READ THE
POINTS
- Do not exceed the time given in your presentation
