Ducted Split Units
Ducted units or 'Split' systems consist of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit installed in the ceiling space.
The cooled air is then directed to multiple rooms or zones within the building via a system of concealed
ducting.
General
Ideal for mounting above the ceiling, these ducted type indoor
units have a capacity ranging from 1.5 to 5 tons. These are
factory assembled, hard-wired and tested for performance and
quality before leaving the factory.
Casing
The units are constructed with heavy gauge zinc coated steel
sheets and is provided with thermal and acoustic insulation on
the inside to prevent heat transfer and dripping.
Evaporator
The copper tubes mechanically bonded to a configured hydrophilic aluminum fin is the standard. Coils are
leak tested at the factory to ensure the pressure integrity, with the evaporator coil leak tested to 3,100kPa
(450 psig). Anti-corrosion treatment for coils are available optionally.
Drain Pan
The condensate drain pan is fabricated from corrosion resistant materials for durability and is shielded with
high-quality fire retardant foam insulation.
Indoor Fan
The indoor units have DIDW centrifugal, forward-curving galvanized steel impeller that are statically and
dynamically balanced as per AMCA 204 standard.
Filter
The filter comes prefixed on the return air side and is made up of nylon mesh woven media. These can be
easily cleaned by water or compressed air and is highly durable.
Outdoor Unit Features
General
Casing
The unit casing is zinc coated and built from heavy gauge galvanized
steel, with the exterior surfaces wholly weatherized for outdoor
installation and properly reinforced and brazed. Performs a salt spray
test for steel sheet under 1,000 hours and more (customized.). The
cabinet construction allows for easy maintenance; the service panels
can be easily removed and reinstalled.
Compressor
The outdoor units, with a capacity ranging from 3TR to 5TR have a single wholly enclosed and hermetical-
ly sealed scroll compressor – Copeland. And for units with capacities lesser than 3TR comes with a Rotary
compressor. By default, there is high-pressure and low-pressure switch.
Condenser
The copper tubes are mechanically bonded to a configured aluminum fin, by default (standard). Coils are
leak tested at the factory to ensure the pressure integrity; with the evaporator coil leak tested to
4,500kPa (650 psig). Anti-corrosion treatment for coils are available optionally.
Outdoor fan
To ensure uninterrupted and reliable operation, the fan is direct driven by weatherproof and durable
motor. With maintenance free bearing for outdoor installation, the drive motor is designed statically and
dynamically balanced, with the fan the operating quietly (no noise) and is durable.
In the electrical control box provided, the internal wires of the unit are clearly marked (colored) and num-
bered for easy identification purpose; the exterior of the box is made of metal and is powder-coated.
