This story is from England.
Goldilocks is walking in the forest.

SCENE I: THE BEARS’ KITCHEN

BACKDROP: The Bears’ kitchen

(There is a table with three bowls.)

GOLDILOCKS
Mmm… I’m hungry.

(Goldilocks tries the first bowl.)

Oh! It’s too hot.

(Goldilocks tries the second bowl.)

Oh! It’s too cold.

(Goldilocks tries the third bowl.)

Ah! It’s just right!

Yummy, yummy in my tummy.

(Goldilocks eats all the porridge.)

BACKDROP: The Bears’ sitting room

GOLDILOCKS
I want to sit down.

(Goldilocks tries the first chair.)

GOLDILOCKS
Oh! It’s too hard.

(She tries the second chair.)

GOLDILOCKS
Oh! It’s too soft.

(She tries the third chair.)

GOLDILOCKS
Ah! It’s just right!

(The chair breaks.)

GOLDILOCKS
I’m tired.

(Goldilocks gets into Baby Bear’s bed and goes to sleep.)

(Enter the three bears.)

DADDY BEAR
Who’s been eating my breakfast?

MUMMY BEAR
Who’s been eating my breakfast?

BABY BEAR
My breakfast is all gone!
