“With COVID-19, we’ve made it to the life raft.

Dry land is far away,” said Marc Lipsitch an

American epidemiologist and Professor in the
Department of Epidemiology. Hello and a warm
good morning to one and all present here, my
name is Mihika Desai from Colours Innovation
Academy, and today I will be telling you how
Corona Virus has changed the lives of people all
around the globe. The coronavirus pandemic has
significantly impacted our daily lives in ways we
never could have imagined. From the way we
work and interact with others, to the way we
shop and even the way we grieve, the virus has
forced us to adapt and make changes.

One of the most obvious changes has been the

shift towards remote work. With many
businesses and organizations shutting their
doors to the public, employees have had to find
new ways to work from home and stay
productive. Even students have had to use
technology to move forward. This has led to an
increase in the use of technology, such as video
conferencing and collaboration tools, to keep us
connected.

The pandemic has also had a profound impact on

our mental health and well-being. The isolation
and uncertainty caused by the virus has led to
increased stress, anxiety and depression. Many
of us have had to find new ways to cope, such as
through exercise, meditation or connecting with
loved ones.

Another major change brought about by the

pandemic has been the way we shop. With many
retailers closed or operating at reduced
capacity, online shopping has become the norm.
This has led to an increase in the use of home
delivery and contactless payment options.

Finally, the pandemic has also forced us to re-

evaluate the way we grieve. With restrictions
on gatherings and funerals, many of us have had
to find new ways to say goodbye to our loved
ones. Whether through virtual memorials or
drive-by funerals, we have had to find new ways
to honour and remember those we have lost.

In conclusion, the coronavirus pandemic has

forced us to adapt and make changes in our
lives. While these changes have been difficult
and painful, they have also taught us to be more
resilient and resourceful. As we continue to
navigate this pandemic, let us remember to
support one another and come together as a
community. Thank you.
