Different: South Korea & Japanes

Asian Region. Faces that have characteristics that are almost similar even too similar. Slanted

eyes and white skin color. Not only that, it turns out that there are many other things that make

these two countries equated, such as the high technology of these two that make these two

countries famous, temples or religious places that are used as tourist attractions that are busy

with tourists and even become one of them. reasons tourists visit this country. South Korea,

which is very well-known in the drama and music industry, turns out to be the same as Japan.

The names are also almost the same, in Korea we usually call them K-Drama and K-Pop in Japan,

they also call them the same, namely J-Drama and J-Pop. And one thing that is very important

and gives the same impression. The way of life, well, the way of life that gives a picture of the

similarity of these two countries, the pleasure of walking in daily activities is a very similar

picture as well as using public transportation for daily life. However, from the many similarities,

it turns out that there are many differences that distinguish these two countries, from big things

to small things. Even from almost similar habits there are many differences.

We start with cleanliness, the cleanliness of these two developed countries, even though they

look the same, it turns out that cleanliness in Japan is better than Korea. Cleanliness in Korea is

apparently not as clean as what is shown in the drama, a lot of trash is found out of place and

the most fatal thing is that many Koreans often spit all over the place, ewww. After the second

cleaning, there is the service of the existing shops, the Japanese service is more polite than the

Korean. In Japan, when we shop at the store, the waiter usually takes our groceries outside. But

that's not a bad thing in Korea because Korea still pays attention to manners. Talking about

shops, in Japan it is also rare to find tent food shops at night, different from Korea, where even

though it's still night, it's even easy to find. Even street food is rare in Japan and usually only
exists when there are big events or activities, while in Korea street food or night markets are

activities that are typical and can be found every day and anywhere.

Okay now I want to discuss how to eat after discussing a little about eating above. The way to eat

in Japan and Korea which looks almost the same as often using bowls and chopsticks, but in fact

the methods and ingredients used are different. In Japan, the chopsticks used are made of wood,

while in Korea they are made of stainless or iron. Also the way to use a bowl to eat is different, to

eat using a bowl in Japan it is used by lifting the bowl to the mouth, while Koreans choose to

lower their heads when eating. Apart from that, it is the habit of Japanese people to eat together,

while in Korea they like to eat individually. Another habit that is almost similar but different is

the way to greet, the way to greet is almost the same, namely by bowing, it turns out that there

is a difference in it. In Japan, bowing is usually done at 30, 45, 90, in Korea it only uses 45

degrees.

The difference that is rarely known between the two countries is the method of transaction.

Even though Japan is known as a developed country, the method of transactions is apparently

not keeping up with the times. Conventional or rarely using cash machines is a habit that is

often practiced in Japan, in contrast to Korea, which often uses ATM machines as a means of

payment transactions. Uniquely, even in Korea, all groups even use a transaction tool in the

form of a machine or mobile. In addition to payment methods in Japan, it also turns out that the

teaching of using an application to order food, while in Korea ordering food online is a daily

habit. Talking about everyday life, there are differences in how to bathe between Japanese and

Korean people. Korean people's habits at night are very different from those of Japan. At night

Koreans often do household activities such as washing and cleaning and even shopping for

household needs, in Japan they use curfew as a break time and even Japanese people rest

earlier than Koreans. The interactions with neighbors also illustrate the differences between the

two countries, the Japanese seem to rarely interact with their neighbors compared to Korean

society.
