Specific extinguishing : Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Fire residues
methods and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed
of in accordance with local regulations. In the event of fire
and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.
Personal precautions, : Restrict access to area as appropriate until clean-up operations are
protective equipment and complete. Use personal protective equipment recommended in
emergency procedures Section 8 (Exposure Controls/Personal Protection). Stop or reduce
any leaks if it is safe to do so. Keep people away from and upwind
of spill/leak. Ventilate spill area if possible. Remove sources of
ignition. Ensure clean-up is conducted by trained personnel only. Do
not touch spilled material. Have emergency equipment (for fires,
spills, leaks, etc.) readily available. Notify appropriate government,
occupational health and safety and environmental authorities.
Environmental precautions : This product is toxic to fish and other water organisms. Do not
discharge directly into lakes, ponds, streams, waterways or public
water supplies.
Methods and materials for : Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so. Stop leak if safe to do
containment and cleaning up so. Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible
