The substance is classified as dangerous according to Directive 2001/59/EC.

R10- Flammable.
R20- Harmful by inhalation.
Effects and symptoms
Inhalation : Inhalation causes headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea, and may
lead to unconsciousness.
Ingestion : Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation and diarrhoea.
Skin contact : Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin.
Overexposure/Signs/Symptoms: Causes mild skin irritation. Skin
inflammation is characterized by itching, scaling, reddening, or, occasionally,
blistering.
Eye Contact : May cause severe eye irritation. Inflammation of the eye is characterized by
redness, watering and itching. Adverse symptoms may include blurred or
double vision.
4. First-aid measures
First-Aid measures
Inhalation : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If
swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Never
give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Loosen tight clothing such
as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. Get medical attention if symptoms appear.
Skin contact : Wash contaminated skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing
and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before
reuse. Obtain medical attention.
Eye Contact : Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact, immediately
flush eyes with a copious amount of water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain
medical attention.
5. Fire-fighting measures

Suitable : SMALL FIRE: Use dry chemicals, CO2, water spray or foam.
LARGE FIRE: Use water spray or fog. Never direct a water jet into the
container in order to prevent any splashing of the product, which could cause
the fire to spread. Cool containing vessels with water jet in order to prevent
pressure build-up, autoignition or explosion.
Unusual fire/explosion Hazards : Emits toxic fumes when heated to decomposition. In a fire, the following can
be released: Bromine , bromine derivatives .

Protection of fire-fighters : Fire fighters should wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus
(SCBA) and full turnout gear.
