4. First-aid measures
First-Aid measures
Inhalation : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If large quantities of
this material are swallowed, call a physician immediately. Loosen tight clothing
such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.
Skin contact : Wash with soap and water. Cold water may be used. Cover the irritated skin
with an emollient. Get medical attention if irritation develop
Eye Contact : Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact, immediately
flush eyes with a copious amount of water for at least 15 minutes. Cold water
may be used. Obtain medical attention immediately.

5. Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing Media
Suitable : SMALL FIRE: Use dry chemical powder or CO2.
LARGE FIRE: Use water spray, fog or foam. Do not use water jet.
Hazardous thermal (de)composition : These products are carbon oxides (CO, CO2) and water.
products
Protection of fire-fighters : Fire fighters should wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus
(SCBA) and full turnout gear.

6. Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions : Splash goggles. Boots. Gloves. Wear appropriate respirator when
ventilation is inadequate.
Environmental precautions and : Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Absorb
cleanup methods with an inert material and put the spilled material in an appropriate was
disposal. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface and
allow to evacuate through the sanitary system.
Note: See section 8 for personal protective equipment and section 13 for waste disposal.

7. Handling and storage

Handling : Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray.
Wear suitable protective clothing. If ingested, seek medical advice
immediately and show the container or the label. Keep away from
incompatibles such as oxidizing agents, acids.
Storage : Keep container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed
and sealed until ready for use. Avoid all possible sources of ignition (spark or
flame).
Packaging materials
Recommended use : Use original container.

8. Exposure controls/personal protection

Engineering measures : Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne
concentrations of vapours below their respective occupational exposure limits.
Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation
location.
Hygiene measures : Wash hands, forearms, and face thoroughly after handling compounds and
before eating, smoking, using lavatory, and at the end of day.
