Objective of GLMS

 To improve and expand the current GLMS layers in order to support eCadastre
implementation, particularly with the establishment of NDCDB.
 Updates and maintenance of these layers are handled more effectively.
 MapInfo GIS engines were used in the development of this application.

Process of Updating Gazette Layer Information

 State JUPEM is in charge of updating all existing Gazette Plans in the Department into the
Gazette Layer.
 The Gazette layer is divided into 5 which are:
 Hydro
 Road
 Multipurpose
 SPR
 Lot Area
 The attributes for the Gazette Layer are described in the APPENDIX "E" format.
 The following factors can be used to update the Gazette Layer:
 Digitization from raster data;
 Data source should be in raster image format such as *.tiff, *.jpg, *.bmp,
*.img and other formats allowed by the system.
 A minimum of four (4) reference marks are required to perform raster image
registration by on-screen digitizing. The allowed error limit picture element
(pixel) should not exceed one (1) pixel.
 For objects that have an arc shape, digitization should be done as much as
possible to allow the original shape of the object to be displayed
 Digitization should be done in polygon or polyline form.
 Updating information according to the relevant layers
 Import data (vector);
 Data sources should be in *.dxf, *.dwg, *.shp, *.dgn and other formats
allowed by the system.
 Only objects that want to be gazetted will be extracted to be inserted into the
database according to the layer.
 Extraction from NDCDB is also enabled for layer creation purposes.
 Updating information in the attribute table.
