Transfastener Range

85080-00, Standard
 Attachment and removal of the Standard Transfastener from the
system is via an entry terminal P/No’s. (85020-00 standard)
(85090-00, 85260-00 85262-00 & 85551-00 screw-gate type)

85081-00, Low Friction

 The low friction Transfastener is for use specifically on systems used

with a small fall arrest block or where the user is required to work
some distance from the system.
 For overhead systems above the reach of users, high tension
overhead systems and devices should be used.
 Attachment and removal of the Transfastener from the system is via
entry terminals P/No’s. (85020-00 standard) (85090-00, 85260-00
85262-00 & 85551-00 screw-gate type).
 To negotiate corners or a deviation in the line of the cable, special
brackets are available. For further advice contact Latchways plc.

85083-00, Load Carrying

 Recommended for use on 8mm 1x19 stainless steel cable

conforming to Latchways datasheet spec 004.
 Designed to carry a fall arrest block weighing up to 6 kg.
 Designed for use with long hanger (P/No. 85041-00) or long swivel
attachment (P/No. 85421-00) as intermediate anchor guides only.
 Attachment and removal of the Transfastener from the system is
via entry terminals P/No’s. (85020-00 standard) (85090-00,
85260-00 85262-00 & 85551-00 screw-gate type). Removal of the
black plastic gate may be required with P/No 85020-00.
 To negotiate corners or a deviation in the line of the cable, special
brackets are available. For further advice contact Latchways plc.
 Rollers can be replaced by releasing the security head screw(s).
Spare roller kits (00900-28) are available from Latchways plc.

85085-00, Removable

 Removable Transfastener can be attached at any point in the

system without the need of entry/exit components.
 Attachment requires the gate to be positioned to one side: inserting
the cable between the starwheels & locating the cable in the body
recess; sliding gate to opposite side & withdrawing the cable from
the body recess allowing the cable to locate on the underside of
the slipper, between the starwheels. Secure the Transfastener by
fitting the karabiner through the gate & body
 Always ensure the gate and the body are in the closed position &
secured by the karabiner with a minimum width / diameter of 10.0
mm before use.
