    Dear Mother and Father,


    It's been years- literal years since you left us with Momma, and now
    you seem to miraculously reappear into our lives. Every night, I cried myself to sleep, hoping
    that when I would wake up, you would be sitting next to me, comforting me with that smile I
    desperately craved for. You would both hold me tightly and tell me it was all a nightmare.

    Please return me the nights that I have lost on endlessly waiting for you to come back. I have
    lost countless memories that I could have made with you. I would much rather be the receiver
    of your presence that your presents.
