Paragraph Writing Rubric Guide

This document provides a rubric for evaluating paragraph writing with scores from 1 to 4. A score of 4 reflects a paragraph with a strong and clearly restated main idea, 3 or more supporting sentences, and few grammatical errors. A score of 3 includes an adequate main idea restated in the closing and 2 supporting sentences. Lower scores have unclear or missing main ideas and less support and more errors.
