Why do you think it is useful for a better understanding of your human rights issue?
I think it is useful for a better understanding of the human rights issue I chose because it talks
about the current war issues around the world- Ukraine and Russia which has caused a lot of
deaths in both the countries. It has taken away the right to live from many Ukrainians and
Russians. War that occurred due to the decisions of some top minorities which ended the lives
of the majority of both countries. What else would be useful in understanding the human right to
live other than war issues?

Why do you think it is useful for a better understanding of your human rights issue?
I think it is useful for a better understanding of the human rights issue I chose- right to live
because it shows the different reasons people use to take one’s right to live. For example, in my
source, just because the person looks like a typical Chinese person, their right to live is taken,
even if they are not Chinese. The right to live a peaceful life is taken away from them just
because they come from the country that the virus originated from.

Why do you think it is useful for a better understanding of your human rights issue?
I think it is useful for a better understanding of the human rights issue I chose as the novel gives
context about the bombing in Hiroshima in Japan in 1947 that killed many people and took away
their right to live. The novel also gives information about the characters who survived the
bombing and what they were doing before the bombing and what they become after bombing.
As it shows in-depth scenarios of the characters, I could see how the bombing took away the
right to live of the character’s family who wanted to have a happy life with their loved ones.
