Our client is a property management firm headquartered in Minnesota. The company has been recognized for achieving the highest levels of performancewithintheirindustry.Theyspecializein property maintenance and management, and have numerouslocationsinmultiplestates. Prior to engaging in a relationship with WA, the companyhadanunfavorableworkers compensation losshistory.DuringourtrademarkedProfitShield Risk Assessment, two large business risks were uncovered.Oneintheareaofhiringandtheother intheareaofworkers compensationclaims. It was discovered that the hiring of new employees wasbeingdonebythelocalpropertymanagers;and yetresponsibilityforasuccessfulhiringprocesswas withcorporatemanagersinthehomeoffice.There wasadisconnectbetweenwhatwasbeingdoneon thelocallevelandthecorporategoalsandvision. To ensure better communication and higher quality hires, corporate management was brought into hiringatthesecondandthirdstagesoftheprocess. They were able to add their input into each hire, thereby improving the quality of the employees introducedintotheorganization. Whileanalyzingthecompanyshiringprocess,itwas also discovered that they lacked a formal new hire trainingprocess,whichresultedinnumerouslossof time claims, primarily with the property maintenancepersonnel.
