No: 24-23 - 207 Office of the Schools Division Superintendent DIVISION MEMORANDUM TO: Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Chief Education Supervisor, CID OIC-Chief Education Supervisor, SGOD Public Schools District Supervisors Public and Private Elementary and Secondary School Heads All Others Concerned FROM: mua aoerce, PhD, wer Schools Division Superintendent SUBJECT: DIVISION TRAINING ON SPORTS OFFICIATING AND COACHING DATE: April 11, 2023 Per Section 19, Article XIV of the 1987 Philippine Constitution which stipulates that the state shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs and competitions to foster self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence for the holistic development of learners and in alignment with the Basic Education Development Plan 2030 (BEDP 2030) Pillar 4 highlighting learners’ resiliency, this Office announces the conduct of the Division Refresher Course On Sports Officiating and Coaching on April 22-23, 2023, 8:00 in the morning at Mena Valencia Gymnasium, Municipality of Naujan. ‘This activity aims to: * orient the participants on the guidelines on sports officiating and capacitate them on coaching learner-athletes; and * craft technical guidelines per sports event. Participants in this activity are the following: + Select members of the Division Athletic Association = Sports Managers = Technical Officials based on the released Division Memorandum * Coaches from the 6 Athletic Delegations who shall participate in the 2023 Palarong Pampaaralan. Office of the Schools Division Superintendent Each Athletic Delegation should send a maximum of 60 coaches from their respective Units. Only those Technical Officials who attended and completed the refresher course shall officiate in the upcoming 2023 Palarong Pampaaralan. Participants shall bring their own sports materials. This is a live-out activity, however, live-in participants shall bring their own beddings. Travel and other expenses of the participants both from the Schools Division Office and schools shall be charged to the Division/School MOOE/local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Services rendered by the participants are subject to service credits/Compensatory Time Of (CTO). For queries and clarifications please contact Dr. Eddy A.
