    1. Attempt all 3 questions for 10 marks each.
    2. Please write 500 to 700 words (do not exceed the word-limit) for each question.
    3. Please use the class readings, mention the authors or book names. But no need to cite them in footnotes.
    4. Please format your answer scripts in a word document, formatted 12 Times Roman - with your role
    numbers (no names).

    Answer the following questions. Please use class readings and discussions when writing your answers. Feel
    free to bring in other sources such as novels, poetry and web materials.

    1. Was Rohit Vemula a loser? Why did he commit suicide?

    2. Why does Anupama Rao see the Sirasgao or Khairlanji incidents as continuation of the caste patriarchy in
    which Dalit women are re-living their positions in the sexual economies of caste? Comment with the help of
    writings of Uma Chakravarty, Sharmila Rege and Anagha Tambe.

    3. Review the film - "World before her” - and comment on the significance of women in communal politics.
