Mahatma Gandhi rightly said, “Sanitation is more important than independence”.
Swachh Bharat mission was launched by the Government of India to solve the problems
of sanitation and waste management in India by ensuring hygiene across the country. The
main aim of the project is to create sanitation facilities for all. The Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India. Shri
Narendra Modi led a cleanliness pledgeat India Gate, which about thirty lakh government
employees across the country joined. He also flagged off a walkathon at Rajpath and
surprised people by joining in not just for a token few steps, but marching with the
participants for a long way.

About My Work:
The main aim of Swachh Bharath is to make the streets, roads and offices, schools,
grounds and etc... clean from filth and garbage, Me along with students of School
have cleaned the surroundings, classrooms and the ground of the school and make it
clean from the used papers, pens, food wrappers and etc…
Outcome:
By this activity, we encourage all to bring about necessary regulatory and policy
changes to facilitate the scientific processing of waste and to focus on bringing about
behaviour change among citizens and encouraging them to segregate waste at
source.

Conclusion:
This mission was to clean India and remove its dirt and dust. India at that time
became very much unhygienic and garbage was thrown here and there by people.
So, this mission was a need for this country. The cleanliness of our surroundings is
our responsibility, not only when it comes to our houses but also when it comes to
public places.
