Important Points for Exam Functionaries

JEE Mains Paper I & II_24th Jan. – 1st Feb. 2023


Exam Date & Timings for JEE Mains Exam

▪ Paper I Exam will be conducted in 2 shifts (Shift1 - 09.00 AM to 12.00 PM &


Shift 2 - 03.00 PM to 06.00 PM) from 24th Jan. – 1st Feb. 2023

▪ Paper II Exam will be conducted in 1 shift from 03.00 PM to 06.30 PM only


on 28th Jan. 2023; SD model for both exams will be SD-100 without Isolation

Important Instructions for Invigilators

▪ Dynamic System Allocation process is applicable for the exam. LANScaping


of Candidate and Registration systems must be done according to process

▪ On the Exam Day, Invigilators need to report 2 hours 30 minutes before the
start of exam at the Center

▪ Invigilators wearing gloves must keep 6 A4 size rough sheets on each


Candidate’s desk before they reach the labs

▪ Once Candidate entry starts, Invigilators to check each Candidate’s Original


Admit Card and Photo ID proof before allowing them inside the lab

▪ Candidate Registration includes capturing the Candidate’s Photograph and


Right Thumb Impression; also, Aadhar Authentication process is applicable
during Registration

▪ Candidate’s Signature and left thumb impression must be there on Admit


Card and then he/she to be guided to the allotted seat

▪ Once the exam starts, Invigilators to collect the Admit Cards (only 1st page)
stapled with exception forms, if any from Candidates and hand them over
to the Volunteer

▪ On the Attendance sheet, Candidate’s signature must be taken twice. One


signature to be taken before the start of the exam and other 30 mins before
the end of exam; also, Candidate’s photograph must be pasted on it

▪ Invigilator needs to carry hand sanitizer along with attendance sheet for
Candidates to sanitize their hands properly before and after putting
signatures on the Attendance Sheet

▪ Provide an additional A4 size rough sheet to the Candidates, if required

▪ Connect with the Venue Head in case any Candidate has not carried the
photograph to paste on Attendance Sheet and follow the instructions

▪ In case, any Candidate’s system gets locked during exam, connect with the
Venue Head/IT Manager, and follow the instructions

▪ Once exam ends, Candidates must drop the used rough sheets in the drop
box kept in the lab before moving out of the exam hall

▪ All collected documents to be packed in separate envelopes day-wise as


given below and kept safely till they’re handed over to the courier vendor:

o Admit Cards to be packed in one envelope


o Attendance Sheet, Annexures & Proformas to be packed in one envelope
o Used Rough Sheets to be packed in a separate envelope

Dos and Don’ts for Invigilators

Do’s

• Report to the venue at the designated time


• Carry your Original Photo ID proof
• Ensure your name is there in the Exam Functionary List
• Ensure that Staff Verification process is completed on Exam Day
• Be professional always at the venue
• Wear formal dress code while on exam duty
• Avoid unplanned breaks during exam duty
• Ensure that registration desk or lab is not left unattended at any given point
• Ensure that adequate lighting and white background is available at the
Registration Desk
• Ensure candidate removes the mask before photo capture to capture a
clear image of the candidate covering entire face
• Ensure that Candidate’s Aadhar verification is done properly as per the
process
• Ensure the right candidate is registered after proper verification of details
such as Name and Photograph on Admit Card and IM console
• Match the physical appearance of the candidate with the printed
photograph of the candidate

• Follow proper exception handling process if unable to complete the
Candidate’s registration or Aadhar Verification
• Keep doing continuous rounds in the lab and be attentive during exam
• Provide response to genuine queries of the candidates
• Maintain social distancing with other Invigilators, Exam Functionaries, and
candidates throughout the exam day
• Always be courteous and respectful to the Candidates
• Always be 100% compliant to the exam delivery process
• Always ask for help if you are in doubt.

Don’ts

• Do not carry any Mobile/Electronic device in the Lab


• Do not speak loudly with the Candidates during Registration
• Do not register the candidate if he/she is found with a suspicious behaviour
• Do not deregister the candidate without informing the Venue Head
• Do not allow impersonators to give exam on behalf of a candidate
• Do not stand in groups and talk to other Invigilators
• Do not speak loudly in labs or cross talk with other Invigilators
• Do not allow candidates to go on bio-break without an escort/volunteer
• Do not help the candidate solve the questions
• Do not carry any rough sheet while doing the rounds in the lab
• Do not change any candidate’s seat without informing the Venue Head
• Do not indulge in any form of malpractice or unethical practices
• Do not allow any candidate to exchange the allotted seat with any other
candidate
• Do not stand behind one candidate for more than 7 seconds without any
specific reason
• Do not leave the lab unattended at any time during exam
• Do not fail to report any incident of malpractice observed to Venue Head
• Do not take decisions on your own
• Do not get into any kind of argument/physical altercation with candidate
