Using machine learning algorithms, the project aims to develop a real-time system for detecting
and transcribing musical notes. Several stages of the system will be involved, including the
processing of audio signals, the extraction of features, and the detection and transcription of
notes. Feature extraction will be performed after the audio signal has been preprocessed and
converted into a suitable format. Pitch, duration, and amplitude will be extracted from the audio
signal during the feature extraction stage. Machine learning algorithms will classify and
transcribe musical notes based on the extracted features in the note detection and transcription
stage. Musical note detection and transcription using machine-learning algorithms is the novelty
of this project. To learn the patterns and characteristics of different musical styles and
instruments, the system will be trained using a large dataset of annotated musical notes. To
enhance the accuracy and robustness of note detection and transcription, the system will also
incorporate advanced signal processing techniques, such as time-frequency analysis and
spectral analysis. The system provides valuable information about the structure and
composition of music, enabling new forms of music analysis and production. In addition, the
system has practical applications in the music industry and academia, providing a more
effective and efficient way to analyse and produce music.
There are several benefits to society and the community from developing a real-time system for
detecting and tracing musical notes. It provides new insights into different musical styles and
cultures, which can enhance the quality and diversity of music. In addition to improving
efficiency and cost-effectiveness, it allows for more accurate and efficient music analysis,
innovation and creativity in the music industry. In addition, the system can be used in music
education, allowing students to learn and analyse music more effectively. Overall, this project
has the potential to make significant contributions to the music industry, academia and society
as a whole.
