    Dear Lasallian Family in the Philippines,

    Greetings of Peace!

    Last February 6, 2023, Turkey and Syria have been devastated with a 7.8 magnitude
    earthquake. Each day, the death toll continues to rise. As of today, the latest estimate
    of casualties is at 33,000. The World Health Organization estimates that 23 million families
    are likely to be affected by this devastation, including 1.4 million children. Although joint
    humanitarian efforts have been launched, additional support are still needed.

    We join the call of Fondazione De La Salle Solidarietà Internazionale ONLUS in sending


    additional support to the victims of the earthquake. I urge our schools, communities,
    and partners in the Philippines to be one with us in extending help to the victims of the
    destructive earthquake.

    A fund is currently being pooled for this initiative until February 24, 2023. For pledges of
    support, you may coordinate with Mr. Reigner Sanchez, Deputy Executive Director of
    the Social Action Unit of the De La Salle Brothers at reigner.sanchez@delasalle.ph.

    Your support will go a long way for the millions of families affected by this calamity.
