Sources of financial support for terrorist financing include direct donations by

individuals and powerful organizations, the use of charities and non-profit
organizations, and the most common is criminal activity such as theft, and
blackmail.

3. Despite armed conflicts that terrorists bring, why does the government conduct peace
talks with these groups like the MILF?

Because they believe that this may lessen tensions between the organization and the
government and discuss important issues on how to decrease mistrust and hostility
between the two groups but suggesting the government should implement comprehensive
political, social, and economic programs to respond to the needs of the Muslims rather
than implementing full military operation to suppress the Abu Sayyaf Groupand other
terrorist groups.

4. Why is our government unable to suppress the activities of terrorist groups such as the
ASG?

This is due to their unpredictability of attacks towards the people. There is also a possibility
of unidentified funds are made available for these terrorist groups. Terrorist groups are
getting stronger through their global connection that serve as their source of new
members, weapons, and other equipment.
