Ma Long

 Ma Long's style in the game with Dang Qiu is very sharp. His movements are very fast and
consistent throughout the game. Ma Long uses his forehand most of the game. It is quite
obvious that it is one of his strengths and that's is a wise move for him to stick to his strengths to
defeat his opponent.
 Ma Long has great forearm skills but throughout the game the lack of strength of his backhand
from mid-table can also be noticed. One of his techniques to recover from this is attacking on
the third ball to put pressure on the opponent and counter-loop the fourth ball.
 Ma Long lost the third set and most people might think that it will affect him but then he was
more fierce and sharp on the fourth set. When he lost the third set it set a fire in him and won
the fourth set 11-1 in favor of Ma Long.

Qiu Dang

 Qiu Dang has the penholder style, he attacks with the penholder backhand. This style puts Qiu
Dang in a better position as he handles the racket as if it’s like a pen. Qiu Dang also has very
sharp moves and has great footwork. He is really quick with moving around wherever the ball
goes. He also has a technique that Ma Long possibly can’t return a successful shot which is
backhand spin. Qiu Dang used this technique often in their game.
