INTRODUCTION

Obesity is the leading preventable cause of death worldwide with increasing prevalence
in adults and children and it is view as one of the most serious public health. It increases the
likelihood or various diseases particularly heart diseases, type II diabetics, obesity is commonly
caused by a combination of excessive food energy intake, lack of physical activity and genetic
susceptibility. Obesity is also defined as a condition characterized by excess body fat typically
defined in clinical setting as a body mass index (BMI) of the 30 above. Obesity is a medical
condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse
effect on health.

It is defined by body mass index (BMI) further evaluated in terms of fat distribution via the
waist-hip ratio and total cardiovascular risk factor. Obesity increases the risk of many physical
and mental conditions. These comorbidities are most commonly shown in metabolic syndrome,
a combination of medical disorders with includes: diabetes mellitus type II, high blood pressure,
high blood cholesterol, and high triglyceride levels.

Obesity is one of the leading preventable causes of death worldwide a number of reviews

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

ASSUMPTION

My assumption about obesity and the public health related behaviors and beliefs. These
include the following the concept of good health has meaning and value that is universally
shared to be obese is to be physically unfit at risk of higher levels of disease and early death
individuals are responsible for their own health status individuals lack appropriate information
about health risk and providing this information should be provided in a way that concern and a
beliefs that individual should make a change.

HYPOTHESIS

Obesity increases the risk of several debiliting and deadly diseases, including diabetes,
heart diseases, and some cancers , it does this through a variety of pathways.
People who have obesity, compared to those with a healthy weight, are at increased
risk for many serious diseases and health conditions, in addition obesity and its associated
health problems have a significant economic impact on Barangay Cabugao.

High blood pressure (hypertension) high LCL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, or
high levels of triglycerides (dyslipidemia) type 2 diabetes coronary heart disease.
