3 COMMUNICATION MANGMENT
Directions: In today’s Lecture we discussed Project Communications management. One of the
tools used in this output is a Progress report. This document looks at what the end goal is,
and what you have completed thus far, what you plan to have accomplished next check in,
what is going well and what needs improvement. For this assignment you will be filling out a
progress report on your Humane society calendar project. Use the scenario information
below to fill in your report and make up any details not listed.
Scenario:
Your project was supposed to be shot in 2 weeks, edited for 2 weeks and then 2 weeks to get to
publisher and printed for distribution. You goal is to have it complete for the new year as a fund raiser
for your local humane society shelter. Due to conflicts with your photographer, shooting has taken 3.5
weeks, and she is taking much longer to edit the photos than anticipated (You’ve only seen proofs
through June). It looks like you might be over budget as well due to overtime for the photographer. You
next check in is in 2 weeks and the Shelter Director will want a Progress report to take to their board of
directors.
