MY PROJECT LIFE CYCLE: A CONCLUSION

The Project Life Cycle is vital in Project Development and Management. The trajectory or
the progress of the project is easy to track. The works and expected outcomes in each phase of the
stage are clearly defined in the cycle. Moreover, it serves us better structure in a project which
helps in better monitoring and results where the management knows what to expect completion of
a sub-task of the project, which enhances the project’s overall efficiency. And with the structure
provide implies better communication. Thus, project development is ensured. And the
management is organized.

Last September of 2022, the social work student implemented its project of Sent Off Party
to the Board Examinee. The Initiation Stage or the brainstorming begins with the crafting of the
project proposal. Although the nature, vision, and scope are given, the crafting of the objectives is
better presented for interpellation in front of the student affairs office to be approved and grant the
proposed budget.

After, the interpellation, the planning of the project how to implement where the
distribution of tasks, and assigning a person to work on the said project proposal. One of the
committees was me. The project director contacted me to be on his committee in the promotion
and technical. He summoned a meeting with his members. He states to us the job description with
the timeline and what result is expected in each committee with his timeline presented. My task
was to create collaboratively with my partner Albert in creating promotional materials such as pub
mats which were posted on Facebook. The project director made frequent follow up and updates.
The time given to us was within the 7 days pub mat are ready so as the caption while for technical
are the video, ppt flow of the program, music, and AVP needed in the event. Execution Stage,
now, the day of the project where we conduct the first pre-program. I went early to the venue where
I pre-positioned the materials needed for the program. During the program, the project director
made frequent communication on how was technical and what are things needed. Asking what
would be missing might help the other committee. And it was a successful program where one of
the participants during the event can testify.
After all, the Closure, of the project the committee made an electronic evaluation where both
committees and participants can make remarks and suggestions about the project. And the
committee made a quick meeting as the project ended where direct evaluation happened. The
project director commended the good practices and recommended continuing them until future
projects. Likewise, we made emphasis on the area for improvement and the learnings in the project.

With this cycle, the team made a quality sound project that benefits the participants.
