Ques. Reflection from Guest Lecture

The guest lecture was very insightful and inspiring, the amount of courage which Dr. Anita Sharma had is
exceptional. There are many people who identify the issues which are faced by many in the society but it takes
expectational courage to step up and solve the issue for oneself and for others in the society and Dr. Anita
Sharma has that courage which according to me the most important trait which an entrepreneur should have.
Her fighting spirit and never give up attitude has helped not only her but many other who have faced the same
problems. These ideas are considered revolutionary as she is providing freedom and independence to disabled
people which is the fundamental right of every individual.
There are a few learning which I learned from the session:
1. If you have courage and fighting spirit, then any hurdle can be jumped upon
2. One should always have a large vision as the business should solve the issue at the larger level
3. One should do proper planning and market research before starting any venture because without proper
research the venture might fail
4. Execution is crucial as the example given by ma’am in the class also states that
5. One should know at what stage they should scale the business and employ additional people
But there were a few disparities which I felt in the business model. The issue of scalability and most importantly
to infuse confidence into the disabled people and awareness to people at a larger scale. A suggestion would be
to not only target the disabled people but also abled people along with it to turn it into a more profitable
business as the target audience would increase and she would be able to use the recognition gained by teaching
the disabled to attract more people and scale the business.

Ques. Reflection from Class Sessions

This course is meant to provide the insights to start and run a business and give us knowledge about the
entrepreneurial mindset and traits. There are a few learning from the course:
1. It is important to evaluate the business model and business plan and access the market using PESTEL,
Porter’s 5 Forces and SWOT
2. It is important to properly analyse the issue and look at each and every aspect and them come with a
solution by brainstorming by this the business would be able to identify its competitive edge.
3. We also gained insight about the attitude which the entrepreneur should have and the problems which
may influence the attitude and it also tells about the entrepreneurship cycle which is divided into 2 parts
i.e. Opportunity cycle creation: Obstacle to opportunity and Execution Cycle: Concept to Business
4. It is very crucial to check the potential of the product in the market and there are steps which the
entrepreneur should take to identify the potential i.e. Conduct small pilot test> Saturation
Test>Monetization Test> Customer Acquisition Test> Cost Optimization Test
5. The 5th sessions asks 4 questions by the means of Inuit Inc. case and those were Cash flows and break
even, Market Strategy, Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and Operations and Technology.
6. The connection of Value, business and entrepreneurial strategies as there should be balance in these to
maintain the business and this was taught by the means of Value Matrix and Position, Value Creation
and appropriation

Ques. Self-Reflection
The beginning of any venture is an idea which tries to revolutionise the way things are currently in the market
and provides a solution to the people at a larger level. Entrepreneur should make his company stand out from
others in the market if there are previous players in the market which is known as the competitive edge of the
business this will help the business to grow at greater levels and attract the target audience. The entrepreneur
should also think about the viability of the product and should do extensive market research as their product
may solve the issue but could not be turned into a business but to any reason. The entrepreneur should also be
open to feedback and should be flexible. The most important trait which is the fighting spirit of the individual
and his/her ability to overcome the hurdles which may arise during the journey of converting the idea into a
business. This course has increased my understanding about the business and the struggle behind making a
profitable venture
