 First thing first: how do
solar panels work?
Short answer: magic
Complicated answer:
solar panels convert sunlight into electricity.
solar panels have a layer of semiconductor

light. when the light strikes the silicon, they
knock electrons loose from their atoms,
thereby producing a current. the electrons
flow through the material to metal contacts
on the sides of the panel, creating an
electric current. the current is then fed into
an inverter, which converts it from direct
current (dc) to alternating current (ac). the
ac current can be used to power household
appliances.
