Resources: Teacher guide, flashcard, charts , marker, black boards, chalk , plain papers , Warmer: 5 minutes - Greet the students - Open the class with a little prayer from the students. - Start the lesson by doing a warmer on number operations. e.g Today’s number is____ Add 17 _______ Double it _______ Multiply it by 10 ______ Halve it _____ Subtract 7 ______ Multiply by 6 ______ Square it ______ Find its factors _______ 1 Find of it ______ 4 - Go through the warm up activity with the students. - Ask the students for their previous lesson and elaborate more to consolidate their understanding. - Thank the students for their effort. Introduction: 10 minutes - Mark their work on the spot - Introduce the topic along with the learning outcome - Brainstorm with students on the topic - Allow each students to voice out their answers - Give some examples of factors using the three digit numbers and apply the factor tree to find the prime numbers. Development: 15 minutes Pair work Repeat their activity in their last lesson to consolidate their understanding on the topic. Allow students to work in pairs to do the following Each pair will discuss each other to the find the solutions After they got the answers, they will raise their hand and the teacher will see if it is correct or wrong The pair who first come with a correct answer will score 10, second 5 and third 3 Display answers on the board and allow them to exchange their work to nearby pairs for a marking Exercise 1f pg 15 1.
