Meet will be conducted under the NFHS and FHSAA Rules and procedures
Parking: We have school and parking will be very limited until 3:30 PM. School buses may
come in through the North Gate and drop off. There is an old K-Mart on 8th Street east of 127th
avenue. Buses can park there.
School building, Baseball Field and construction site southwest of the stadium is OFF-LIMITS at
all times.
4.14.1.1.1.3 Inhalants Prohibited. The use of inhalants (other than prescribed medications and
compounds) in competition is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, ammonia
capsules, ammonia ampules, smelling salts, ammonia inhalant wipes, ammonia liquids, and any
other stimulant inhalant. PENALTY: A competitor in violation shall be disqualified from further
competition in that meet for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected. The competitor shall forfeit
all individual places and points. The meet referee shall submit an AT6 to the FHSAA within 24
hours of the completion of the meet.
Coaches Meeting. All scratches may be made at this time without penalty. No new entries
may be accepted.
There will be an Admission Fee of $6.00 for Spectators. Tickets can be purchased through GoFan

The cost of the meet will be split amongst the District Schools
Vertical Jumps. Vertical events should have a starting height determined and then move up in
increments of 5 cm for High Jump and 15cm for Pole Vault unless the winner has already been
determined in which case the increment shall be at the first place athlete’s discretion. FHSAA
recommends that increments in vertical jumps mirror those utilized at the region meet. Those
increments may be found in the 2022-23 FHSAA Track & Field Manual (4.14.2.2.4(b)(6)). (SEE

(6) Region meets will adhere to the following prescribed heights and incremental increases until
only one jumper remains. Opening heights will be the closest height listed that is below the
lowest qualified mark from the district meet (one increment lower). Deviation from the prescribed
heights shall not be considered for at-large advancement. All heights are listed in meters:
(a) High Jump: 1.17, 1.22, 1.27, 1.32, 1.37, 1.42, 1.47, 1.52, 1.57, 1.62, 1.67, 1.72, 1.77, 1.82, 1.87, 1.92,
1.97, 2.02, 2.07, 2.12, 2.17, 2.22
(b) Pole Vault: 1.50, 1.65, 1.80, 1.95, 2.10, 2.25, 2.40, 2.55, 2.70, 2.85, 3.00, 3.15, 3.30, 3.45, 3.60, 3.75,
3.90, 4.05, 4.20, 4.35, 4.50, 4.65, 4.80, 4.95
Events with Runways. Competitors may not run in the non-legal direction on the runway at
any time in horizontal jumps, pole vault, or javelin during warm-ups. (NFHS Rule 6-2-6).
Javelin.
Running Events:
4x100 M Exchange Zone is from Yellow Triangle to the 2nd Yellow Triangle.
4x400 M/4x800 M Exchange is from Blue Triangle to 2nd Blue Triangle.
100 M Hurdles- Yellow Dashes
110 M Hurdles- Blue Dashes
400 M Hurdles- Green Dashes
Ties. In running events, all ties in preliminaries which would result in more than eight qualifiers
to the finals must be broken by the appropriate National Federation rule tie-breaker procedure.
One or more competitors than there are scoring places shall qualify for the finals. All
competitors tying for the last position shall be finalists. To be eligible to participate in the finals,
a competitor shall have had at least one legal throw in the preliminaries. All ties must be
broken for advancement purposes. If a tie is not broken, the athletes will not advance for that
place.
Advancement to Regional: The first four contestants in each individual event and the first four
teams in each relay event are the maximum numbers that each district shall qualify for the
region meet. All ties resulting in more than 4 qualifiers must be broken.

2. Relay Names (accurate reporting required – athletes not
entered in the Pool of 8 may not run in each respective relay).
3. Field Events – include check-out procedure for athletes in
multiple events at once. A competitor may use another
competitor’s implement during competition only with the
other competitor’s permission. All implements shall be
inspected. Pole Vault contestants shall be weighed-in.
4. Scratches – No penalty for a scratch or DNS in any event during
the initial round of competition (qualification was not
required)
