More and more students at university today are not choosing to

study science. Why is this happening? What are the effects of
this?

It is true that less and less university students today opt to study science. Instead, they choose for easier
and more practical topics like literature, business management, and the arts, which will lead to a general
decline in skill in the sciences.
The fact that other disciplines are simpler to study is one of the key reasons science majors are declining.
High engineering, lengthy lab hours, and hazy job prospects are all part of studying a scientific field like
biology or chemistry. In contrast, majors in commerce, languages, or the arts are ensured a smoother road
of incredibly clear understanding and esteem while they work in their major, not to be outdone by those
working in science.
This will have a significant adverse influence on the number of scientists in the near future. Given how
closely tied to science every aspect of our existence is, this will undoubtedly have an impact on the future.
Even with so many of the finest minds in history, there are many enigmatic mysteries in science that have
yet to be discovered, and today, only the selected can take part in its projects. Besides, new information
cannot be discovered since there are not enough professionals working in the subject.
In summary, students aren't interested in choosing science as their major. If this trend keeps up, it will
have a significant impact on our lives both now and in the future.
