2. Where changed
The followings are supported by this program.
This program is the loadable device driver for YSoft USB Card Reader on bizhub C364/C284/C224.

3. Restrictions
(1) About overwrite installation of the loadable device driver
Display trouble code (C-E301) when installing the loadable device driver into MFP having installed YSoft loadable device driver.
(Workaround)
Install a different vendor’s loadable device driver first. (Display trouble code: C-E301)
Turn OFF/ON MFP, and then install the YSoft loadable device driver.

(2) About grayed out of “Edit/Delete” buttons

[Edit/Delete] buttons for user are grayed out when Administrator displays [User Register] screen in the following condition.
- User failed to authentication by holding the IC card over the card reader after pressing [User Authentication (Device)]].
Then another registered user manually logs in by pressing [User Authentication (Device)] and log out.
Administrator logs in to display [User Registration] screen of the above first user.
(Workaround)
Turn OFF/ON the power switch of MFP.

(3) About a freeze of card reader

On rare occasions, the card reader may freeze by card authentication when trying to authenticate after pressing [User
Authentication (Device)] button.
(Workaround)
Turn OFF/ON the power switch of MFP.

(4) About IC card authentication with PS Authentication Manager

IC card authentication cannot be used on PS Authentication Manager of PSES Ver. 2.0 or earlier version.
IC card information can be registered into PS Authentication Manager with the self-registration function on PSES Ver.2.1 or
later version for IC card authentication.　(*)
* IC card information conversion is required using IC card information template when authenticating in AD server.

(5) Card type is registered as HID card with any card readers.

(6) The card readers and cards specified in [4. Programs to be applied at the same time] are tested with the loadable device
driver and guaranteed.
Other card readers and cards are not confirmed the operational behaviors and out of support.
(PID cards of Mifare/LEGIC are out of support.)

5. How to install/check the version and uninstall

5.1. How to install program
(1) Extract the attached exe file and save “xxxxxx.tar” file to root directory of USB memory.
(2) Insert the USB memory to USB port of MFP.
(3) Call the Service Mode to the screen.
(4) Touch [System 2] -> [Driver Install].
(5) Touch [SET] and press “Start” button to start installing the data.
(6) Check that data is normally installed from the message that appears on the control panel.
(7) Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
(8) In the Service Mode> Billing Setting> Management Function Choice, select “Card” or “Body” in “Authentication Device2”
and press “OK” button.
(9) Turn ON/OFF the main switch.

5.2. How to check version

The version can be viewed in service mode. Press [Firmware Version] and [4].

6. Note YSoft USB Card Reader must be prepared by Sales Co.
