Knowledge transfer
Baseband 5216 Network Diagram
• The Ericsson Baseband 5216 RAN network solution provides high
speeds and reliability of mobile broadband service, which can be used
in a dense urban environment, such as a sports stadium, a shopping
mall or a central train station, where a larger number of mobile users
are concentrated in a relative small area. These Baseband 5216
products enhance Macro cell solution
Baseband Unit

Baseband units provide the following functions and resources:

• The transport network termination based on IP, allowing a multitude of
transport physical layers.
• Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) termination
• Baseband processing for control plane and user plane
• Timing Unit (TU) for synchronization
• Main Processor (MP) managing all node software and configuration
databases
• The processing environment for functions including radio access control and
O&M

• Start SFTP server on laptop
• Start sftp server User / Paswrod : rbs/rbs

Press Start/Stop

SFTP FOLDER PATH

• Go to options and put the IP as 169.254.2.1

Laptop IP to be used here

• Put RBS Summary, Site Basic, Site Equipment and RBS software in C:/SFTP folder.
• Connect laptop to LMT A port using Ethernet cable
• Open https://169.254.2.2/ea.html in chrome or internet explorer. The following page
will open.
. Click Board Restore, wait a while

. Put in the relevant information, make sure all files pointed out in the
Summary file are on the SFTP server

. Open https://169.254.2.2/autointegration.html and put the host IP as

169.254.1.1 , User : rbs, Pasword:rbs, and name of summary file.
• Click download files
• Click integrate when all files have been downloaded
• After “Integrate will continue after reboot” and node has been rebooted.
• Open https://169.254.2.2/ea.html

Node should be “working”

When you see “ Node is working” the Onsite work is complete.

Configuration specific for Technology
• After loaded BB52xx scripts, need connect transmission cable & ensure that OAM path
from BB to OSS is ALIVE
• Baseline script for BB52xx
• LTE neighbor scripts for LTE sites.
• Utrancell/Iublink/3G Neighbor scripts for 3G on RNC side.
• Cell Data/2G Neighbor script for 2G on BSC side.
• Request to OSS team defines all new sites on OSS as design.
