a request letter,

Surat permintaan bermacam-macam ditinjau dari isi surat atau content of the letter. Surat permintaan
katalog/catalogue, permintaan price-listatau daftar harga, prospectus, permintaan hal-hal yang
mendetail atau perinci tentang barang, permintaan menjadi pemasok/supplier, permintaan tender,
serta permintaan approval dan balasan atas surat permintaan tersebut.

Surat pengaduan digunakan ketika mendapatkan situasi yang membuat kita merasa dirugikan dan
merasa berhak untuk mengeluh atau komplain, namun sebaiknya kita tetap dapat menjaga situasi hati
tetap tenang dan mengontrol diri sehingga tidak terkesan kasar.

Contoh :

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your promptness in delivering the bags we ordered on 03 November. However 5 bags
were delivered this morning instead of 2 as stated on our order. Our present needs are completely
covered and we cannot make use of the 3 bags sent in excess of our order. These bags will therefore be
held in our warehouse until we receive your instructions.

a thanking letter?

Thanking letter digunakan untuk menyampaikan ungkapan terima kasih secara tertulis dalam surat
berbahasa Inggris atau thanking letter kepada rekan bisnis atau kepada pelanggan dalam komunikasi
tulis yang formal.
