2. How do you explain the Philippine Bilingual Education Policy?

Answer: This policy is through teaching the language which is the Filipino and English can be use in
media instruction. Also through this policy student had to achieve the both language.

3. Who is tasked to implement the language policy in the Philippines? Why?

Answer: In 1974 DECS, issued Dept. Order No.25, s.1974 titled, “Implementing Guidelines for the policy
on Bilingual Education”. It can be used as medium of instruction in social studies/social sciences, music,
arts, physical education, home economics, practical arts and character education.

4. What are the aims of the policy on Bilingual Education In the Philippines?

Answer: The policy on Bilingual Education aims at the achievement of competence in both Filipino and
English at the national end, through teaching of both language and their use as media of instruction at
all levels.

5. What is Executive Order No. 335 all about?

Answer: This executive order is all about enjoining all


departments/bureaus/officers/agencies/instrumentalizes of the government to take steps there are
necessary for the purpose using Filipino language in communications. It is belief that using Filipino
language will result to a greater understanding and appreciation throughout the country and serving
unity and peace for national progress.

6. Why is there a separate language policy of CHED and the DECS?

Answer: Commission on Higher Education or CHED tending to an initial bachelor’s degree covering four
curriculum years. It was done to make the curriculum more responsive to the demands of the next
millennium. DECS mostly dedicated to basic education includes kindergarten, elementary, high school
and hence k to 12 transition period.

7. Do you think the students from elementary to college can benefit this language policy? How?

Answer: Yes, language policy can able to learn new language it depends on the languages that students
already know. Also you can communicate other people base on what language they comfortable to
speak with.
