Food Plates

Objective: To prepare meal plant for each age group

Specific Objectives:
1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Pinggang Pinoy concept to improve daily
intake
2. Advocate healthier eating habits within the household

Instructions:
3. Each student is to make a 1-day meal plan based on the “Pinggang Pinoy” for a
family of 5:
a. 41 year old father with hypertension,
b. 37 year old pregnant mother at 36 week AOG with gestational diabetes,
c. 13 year old sister
d. 2 year old boy
e. 7 months old boy
4. Meal can be based any cuisine but must follow the Pinggang Pinoy portions per meal
for each individual.
5. Students may choose to illustrate or use photos for their plates. Label accordingly each
component, meal and for whom the plate is.

Evaluation:
1. Meals (10 points) - meal plan is appropriate for each member of the family and
follow Pinggang Pinoy
2. Originality (10 points)
3. Design and creativity (10 points)
