By now you are feeling that the regime is so strict, mentally and
physically exhausting. With no clear finish line ahead it is hard to
keep pushing yourself at this intensity.
A full week recovery period every 8 weeks will give our bodies a
well deserved break form all consistent training and high demands
placed on the central nervous system. It will also be a great mental
break because there will be sacrifices to make during those 8
weeks that you can catch up on during your recovery week.
Whether that’s catching up with your family and friends, going out
for a meal with your spouse or partner or even just kicking back
and playing some Witcher 3 on the Xbox.

Depending on how much you want to grow and how fast your body
responds to the regime, you could be doing this for a long time.
Even though I’ll be bringing out GTPS 3.0 in the future, let’s assume
that you’ll be doing this regime for at least 6 cycles before its
release. That’s a period of 13 months and 2 weeks if we include our
recovery time too.
The important thing is that we stay on track. Even though I really
want you to enjoy your recovery week, there are a few simple rules
to follow to make sure we smoothly transition to the next cycle.
Rule #1:
If you are switching off the alarm during recovery week and
waking up at whatever time you feel like, then only do this for the
first 5 days. If you don’t get back to your normal regime by the
time the new cycle starts, chances are you will probably carry on
oversleeping. So make sure you reset your sleeping patterns 2
days before your new cycle starts.
Rule #2:
Even though many of you will use the recovery opportunity to drink
alcohol, which is fine, just make sure you hit your baseline water
level. Just because we are ditching our regime, does not mean we
need to dehydrate ourselves for a week. You won’t need to drink as
much water if you are not exercising but try to get ¾ to 1 gallon of
water per day as a bare minimum, preferably using the Zerowater
water filter from stage 23.
Rule #3
Keep taking your supplements. This includes your Vitamin D
and Calcium from stage 4, your multivitamin from stage 6, your
superfoods supplement from stage 10, your fish oil from stage 12,
your joint supplement from stage 14 and your sleeping aid from
stage 16.
Rule #4
Even though I encourage you to eat nice calorific foods during your
recovery week, I am more concerned with the people who do not

have a big appetite. For those people who struggle to hit their MAS
number normally, unfortunately you will need to keep eating enough
to make sure you stay in an anabolic state. For everyone else,
pizza, burgers, ice cream, pancakes are definitely on the menu.
Rule #5
Finally, try to get your body weight in grams of protein per day. For
example, if you weigh 200 pounds, then you need a minimum of
200 grams of protein. Because protein is the building block of our
body, we need to make sure that we are getting enough while we
recover. Especially because growth spurts can come at any time so
we need our protein to be at an optimal level to take advantage of
this.
Recovery can be just as important as training and if you stick to
these rules, you can have fun without sacrificing potential height.

following the 5 simple rules.
