CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the results, analysis and interpretation of data gathered from the answers to all
the questionnaires regarding with the usage of cigarettes per day and how it affects the secondhand
smoking of Grade 12 students in Mangatarem National High School. The said data were introduced in
tabular form in line with the specific questions hypothesized on the statement of the problem.

•In accordance to Table 1, 42.5% of the interviewee who answered the questionnaires has the age of
45-60, 30% has the age of 30-45, 11.25% has the age of 18-30 and lastly, 2.5% has the age of 10-17. As
a result, most of our interviewee came from the age of 45-60.

• As stated by the table, female interviewee have the percentage of 30 while male interviewee have
the percentage of 60.Therefore majority of our interviewee were male.

•Based on the table, 5,000- 15,000 or 43.75% of the interviewee who answered the questionnaires
regarding to family annual income were in the middle class or social class. We used this to determine
the social class of our respondents and what social class Waa most affected by the Oplan Rody

•According to this table, both question number 2 and number 10 got the first place in the ranking
with weighted mean of 3.63 based on the given data which means these were positively involved in
Operation: Rid the Street of Drinkers and Youths. Followed by question number 7 with weighted
mean of 3.5 . Thus, question number 9 got the lowest place on the table with weighted mean of 2.73.

• As you can see on the table, question number 9 got the first place on the ranking with 3.76
weighted mean, followed by question number 3 with 3.54 weighted mean which tells the positive
effect of the Operation Rid the Street of Drinkers and Youths. Lastly, question number 4 got the
lowest place in the ranking with a 2.3 weighted mean.

•The table was dealt with question number 9 who got the first place in the ranking with a weighted
mean of 3.91 which shows that it can affect the peace and order of the community, while question
number 10 got the last position in the ranking with 3.23 of weighted mean.

•This table appeared to be that question number 6 has the highest impact in the community that
have 3.58 weighted mean, and by that, this number got the first place in the ranking which shows
positive result based on the date that listed here in the table. While question number 3 got the lowest
with 3.2mean weight.
The researchers profess that there is a remarkable impact of Oplan Rody to the selected community
of Lipa City with a total sample population of eighty (80) with a mean of 0.1596, calculated from the
tables presented in the research study. As a way to test the claim, the researchers calculated the
results of the survey having a weighted mean of 0.0399, based on the response of the respondents
and a standard deviation of 8.94.
