Detailing the plan

Intro As the days go on my senior year is starting to come to an end. All these memories

started to come to my mind when I was just a little freshman, I didn't know what I wanted to be

or do after high school. I was just living in the moment but when COVID hit it changed what I

wanted to be or do. During those times I didn't know if I would live a normal life, my classes

were through Zoom and I took a big hit with my grades my sophomore year. I began to

overthink, but I started to draw at home in my free time and started to get into graphic design

from that I got into Marketing which got my interest. I began to look into that career more and

more research on that career, but I also got interested in detailing and I wanted to put those two

together.

Bio I am Cristobal Gandara-Juarez, I am an 18-year-old high school student at Lee High School.

I love playing sports, especially soccer, I fell in love with soccer ever since I was a kid. I also

enjoy playing basketball and volleyball, as long as I am active I am happy. I love being with my

friends and family. But also I like being alone and spending time by myself. I have five siblings

Diego, Rose, Jony, Jocelyn, and Scarlet. I have been close with my siblings since my parents

divorced I am trying to become closer even though they are very annoying. My parents are

named Jose and Maira they come from Guanajuato, Mexico, and they came to America to have a

better life they worked hard for what they have. My brother Deigo was the first to graduate high

school but none of my family members have gone to college or even completed it. I want to be
the first to graduate college. My parents look to me more than my older brother, as if I was the

older brother. They have high expectations of me and sometimes I wouldn't complete what they

asked me to do but they support me so much and just want my dreams to come true. They don't

care what I go for in college but they have told me they support me all the way. Through High

school I have gained a lot of skills and knowledge, soccer has helped me throughout high school

it taught me to be a leader and to improve myself every day no matter what. I also have been

taking college classes from GRCC. These college classes have opened up my eyes and really

made my experience of what college expectations are. I have been preparing myself for what

comes next.

Future Goals My future goals are something I have been thinking about for a long time. The

first time I went to Mexico I had the privilege of seeing my grandpa work, and he wasn't just a

normal employee he was the boss. I watched him give orders tell the workers what to do, seeing

him take phone calls, and negotiate deals right in front of me. I said to myself ” Wow” I want to

do that I want to be a boss. My father is also a boss he runs his own company and he built it from

the ground up. My goals are to be financially stable, run my own business, own a house, and

have a family. I choose these goals because its something I always dreamed about and I took

inspiration from my own family, especially my father. He told me his story and how he couldn't

achieve his dreams and how he scarfed himself to come to the united states and give me and my

siblings a better future. I plan on achieving these goals one step at a time.

Route/Path To achieve my goals and dreams, I first will go to GRCC for one year and complete

my core classes. After GRCC I will transfer to Ferris state university to obtain my certificate in

Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communication. While my time at Ferris State University,
I will try to join clubs, especially the soccer club they have at Ferris. I will also try to get an

internship and learn more about marketing and what it takes to be a good and successful

marketer. After my years at Ferris, I will try to get a job in the marketing field and work my but

off until I can afford to buy a house, But I will try to get out of Michigan and explore what’s out

there I was thinking about moving to Kentucky or Arizona. I choose those states because of their

weather specifically, Arizona is warm all year long and it's way bigger than Michigan, and

Kentucky has warm weather as well I went there before I fell in love with the people and the

state In general. “Plan, direct, or coordinate marketing policies and programs, such as

determining the demand for products and services offered by a firm and its competitors and

identifying potential customers” (Marketing Managers) I believe that I have the qualities and

potential to gain all of those skills. Marketing is a place with limitless growth potential, I believe

that marketing will continue to grow and be more known to the people that have the skills to talk

to customers and sell. I also believe that now technology is a very big factor in selling and

marketing products. You can start selling online and on social media, for example, Instagram has

a lot of people selling their products and conducting ads there for free. “Technology is

transforming choice, and choice is transforming the marketplace. As a result, we are witnessing

the emergence of a new marketing paradigm” (Mckenna). I agree with this statement and as I get

into marketing even more I can see that technology is a very big fact in the marketing industry.

As I look more into marketing, I can show it's very competitive, which excites me about what I

am going to into and learn.

Conclusion In conclusion, High school has been a crazy part of my life. I have so many

memories that will be stuck with me forever. During my sophomore year, COVID-19 struck,

making my sophomore year online. I didn't like online and hated it so much, I couldn't learn
anything. I am more of an in-person learner, which impacted my grades a lot. But in the last

months, they decided to give the students a choice if they wanted to be in-person or stay online, I

chose in-person and my grades began to rise again. That year tested my capabilities, after that

COVID year the last two years of high school were really good, I have been enjoying my days as

a senior and slowly realizing that my days at lee high school are coming to an end. I have made

many friends and also lost a lot of them. High school for me has been the best and worst parts of

my life. But it's now time for me to leave that part of my life and experience something even

bigger which is life.
