Being a professional is necessary when providing patient care.

This builds the trust needed to

have a healthy clinician-patient relationship. Providing professional care is very important to me.

Learning how to be a professional will take us far in our careers. Knowing how to work with

many personalities will help us in every aspect of life. We had the opportunity to work with

different dentists, instructors, peers, and patients. I am very grateful for this experience as I feel it

has prepared me to work in any office. I have always loved working with others and it is so

rewarding building relationships with my patients. I want everyone in my chair to feel cared for,

as if they were my family. It is important to me that all of those around me view me as a

respectable professional in this field. I never want to be perceived as the youngest hygienist in

our class, it has always been a goal of mine to appear professional and appreciative. In this

section I included my CPR card, mandatory reporter certificate, and evidence of my student

round table participation for the IDHA. This shows that I am up to date on my necessary

requirements, and ready to treat patients. I also included self-assessments I wrote throughout this

program. I have learned so much already, but there will always be room for improvement and

learning new things!
